-Students that were away on Friday; you will need to watch Secondhand Lions on your own time and answer the questions.
-Students that were here Friday; all your questions should be submitted to Google Classroom.
-Students I will be asking you tomorrow the author/title of your independent novel studies. Start bringing this book to class.
-Students, also; please get a copy of your resume on your computers as this is a mandatory assignment in English 20 and I will need to see it soon. If you haven’t started one; you may want to get on that asap and consider this homework.
-We will be discussing Secondhand Lions when everyone has viewed it and handed in their questions.

Kyle, Brittany, Makayla; I will not mark your essays until they are in Google Classroom. Please upload them there ASAP dolls. If they are not up (something at least) by Tuesday you may see a snuffy Miss Mann.

You; your group and I will travel in the morning to a school, work with the principals, actors and mascot to film the video.

As a class; come up with a definition for BIAS.
What does it mean?

*Today we are going to uncover where bias occurs in the media.
There are many learning targets from the course that fit into this lesson and this will be on Kahoots and the Media Final exam.

Please read over the following as a class and sum them up in one word in your notes.
This is important.   😉

After you have discussed this:
As a class pull up NEWS stories from the internet and go over each of the potentials for bias.
Then; on your own; please find a news article and write down examples of where bias’s existed.
You will be tested on all these.

If students finish early they can study key people or finish up their news stories.
