Latest with SGMS

It has been an interesting few weeks.
I have been endlessly challenged by my Masters cohort- so many people planning so many incredible things.
Just a QUICK note tonight that I believe- as Julie Machniak explained it to me…
Teaching with technology is much like:
LEARNING (with capital letters) and (t)echnology with a small t.
That being said I think that teaching with technology should be a part of the teacher.
Chelsey Viekle found some amazing quotes and analogies that coincided and provided clarity on my own views…
Technology should be engrained in what we do and not be something separate that we ‘fit in’.
I have provided a basic image below that I whipped up to get me thinking…
It needs a great deal more work but…
If the blanket is the whole art of my pedagogy technology should become many of the threads that are woven into my practice.
-The same with other elements noted.
If you take away the curriculum for example a huge chuck of my practice is disjointed and the ‘blanket’ cannot function as it is meant to.
The same of technology- it should be woven in so it can be used seamlessly to ENHANCE student learning first and foremost.

I love this… “If the blanket is the whole art of my pedagogy, technology should become many of the threads that are woven into my practice.” Beautiful!
